Philly Loves Lacquer – The Glen Coco Collection

Howdy ya’ll! I am trying to stay on top of this blog and what better way than another post about another great collection! Today I have The Glen Coco Collection by Philly Loves Lacquer . Esther wanted to pay homage to one of her favorite movies, Mean Girls, so what better way than to make beautiful polish! The Glen Coco Collection is made up of 6 polishes. There are four flakie holo crellies, one clear color shifting flakie topper and one clear UCC flakie topper. This collection (as a set only) will be available for pre-order September 1st until the 5th, either full size or minis. Individual bottles for both sizes will be available on September 6th! So mark your calendar’s =) Okay now that all of that is out the way, onto the fun part! I will say that the names of these polishes had me laughing my ass off! And off we go………..

You Smell Like a Baby Prostitute – see as I am typing this, I am still laughing. I know a few people I could say that too. Haha  Any who, this is a very beautiful light blue. Esther describes it as a periwinkle blue.  And I agree. The holo is gorgeous through out it and if that wasn’t enough, there is color shifting flakies as well! I haven’t had too much luck with crellies but I think because this one does have big chunks of glitter applied smoothly! Had a nice consistent formula, no pooling, and was opaque in 3 VERY thin coats.

Next up is, Is Your Muffin Buttered?, another funny name. I really like this shade of purple. I’m not a big fan of purple. I don’t know why, it just is what it is. This formula was slightly thinner than the rest, and when I say slight I mean extremely small difference. Not enough to impact my opinion of it. It was still easy to apply and has the holo and flakies throughout it as well!

Have you ever been told at lunch, ” You Can’t Sit With Us”, by another group of kids who thought they were better? I have it sucked BUT made me realize I did NOT want to be friends with someone who was nasty like that! And of course Esther made this one pink! My favorite color..EVER. I love the shades in this collection. They all mesh so well together! Pictured here is three really thin coats but I think 2 nice coats would have sufficed. Just like the previous two this has holo AND color shifting flakies.

Last up of the holo filled and flakies packed crellies is I’m A Mouse, DUH! This one is just………ugh. I can’t even describe how it makes me feel! Usually I am into bright neon colors, but lately I have been on the hunt for dark vampy colors. Honestly it has nothing to do with the seasons. I live in FL and wear whatever I want when I want and how ever AI want. Haha. This is more of a medium grey. And it is perfect. The formula is on point and it’s just yummy. This is three thin coats and TC.

This collection has two toppers. The first one I want to share with you is You’re A Regulation Hottie. This is a very fun clear based flakie topper. I did its on its own and then tested it over black and white and I have to say i think it really pops and shows its color shifting UCC ways over white the best! I did three coats on its own and only one coat over the white and black! This was easy to work with and no manipulation needed!

20160828_203927 20160828_203840 20160828_203818 20160828_203801

The last topper and polish in this six piece set is It’s Full of Secrets. This is like the angel to the darkness compared to the other topper You’re A Regulation Hottie. I feel these flakies are more iridescent. I tried using this by itself as a mani but wasn’t having luck getting it to really show off the color shifting so I went with a black base. I did however want to share a macro of this one with no base along with a white one too. This one shows us best on a darker base I feel. I only did one coat over the white and black and I believe I did two with no base.

Well that is a wrap you guys! Not only did I enjoy swatching this collection but the communication with Esther was phenomenal. Per usual I had questions. I like to know everything and she was so efficient in answering them! From this experience I have learned she is a sweet heart and is truly dedicated to making awesome polishes! I wouldn’t mind working with her again at all!

From the maker:      The collection will be available for pre-order as a full set ONLY in either mini or full size from September 1st until September 5th, and then individual bottles will be available in both sizes on September 6th. The full set pre-order price will be $62 for full size and $31 for mini size, and then the price will be $11.50 and $5.75 for individual bottles on September 6th.

DAM Nail Polish- Summer Sunset Series

Disclaimer: All polishes in this post were NOT given to me for free. I was given a blogger/swatcher discount code in return for my honest review. I was not paid to give positive feedback. All opinions in my blog are of my own. Nor am I paid when you click on a link/url in my blog post. I share those to make it easier for you (the reader) to get access to the websites. Thank You xoxo

I don’t deserve to have a blog, I am a wreck. Lmao Life has been so crazy lately that it has been hard to sit down and post! Pictures are easy but to write a little somethin’ somethin’ isn’t! BUT I am here to give you a review of the four thermals from the Summer Sunset Series by DAM Nail Polish. I love Angie’s concept behind this collection. She wanted to capture the many different colors in a sunset and i think she did a pretty good job! I will be honest. This was literally only my second time working with thermals! EVER! So I hope I did these some justice! Angie already has this collection available in her shop for pre-order, you can find it here. Now while it is on pre-order, it is being sold at a discounted price! Pre-Order ends September 1st unless she sells out sooner. They will be officially released on September 2nd at full price! I would definitely jump on that pre-sale price! Ok loves, on to what you REALLY want to see and read! The swatches!!!

Blushing Nudie is the first one I chose to swatch out of the four. Pink I am drawn to pink! Angie’s thermals transition so quickly! As I was painting my nail it kept going from warm to cold with each stroke! It was really cool! I really love the transition on this one. Most sunsets i see have these colors in them! It starts off as a light peachy pink color in its warm state and into a beautiful mango pink in its cold state. It took about three thin coats for it to get opaque. It does dries quickly too! Formula was great. Once these officially release you can buy separately. You can find Blushing Nudie here.

Exotic Horizon is the second one in the series and it’s a really cool purple thermal. In warm states it’s a light fuchsia color and when in a cold state its purple. Kind of reminds me of purple Now & Laters haha no idea why but it does.  On the rare occasion that I do get to see a sunset, there is definitely a little purple in it! This formula was great and I did have to do three thin coats to get it opaque. I’m sure I could have done two thicker coats but eh it’s not how I roll. If you love purple this is a polish you need! In either state it is beautiful! You can find Exotic Horizon for purchase here once the collection officially releases.

Gaaah I am absolutely in love with this one. Only because it is so unique to me. Cerulean Skies starts off a beautiful cerulean (lmao) blue when cold and this unique tan color with grey undertones when warm. I usually am against nudes. I don’t like the way my nails look non-existent when I wear a skin toned shade BUT this was so cool to wear! Pretty easy application when I moved fast. Again all four dry quickly and also transition with each stroke OF THE BRUSH! (haha) I also did three coats to get it opaque with this one as well. You can find Cerulean Skies for purchase here once the collection officially releases.

Last up in the series is Auburnt. This one has all the same qualities of the others. It dries quickly, transitions fast, and is opaque in three thin coats. Though this one is my least favorite of the four, I still like it. It has the true colors of a sunset. The most common colors I should say. It has the light orange color when warm and turns into a maroonish color when cold. I wasn’t sure about the two colors together at first but it now makes sense to me! And I like it more because of it. If you want to watch the sun set on your nails I just you get this polish.! Auburnt can be purchased here once the collection officially releases.

Well there you have it babes. The Summer Sunset Collection by Dam Nail Polish. I know summer is ending in a lot of places but I live in Florida so I have summer pretty much all year around! Lmao. This was such a great concept as a farewell to summer! What better way than four different sunsets! All in all I think this is a great collection to invest in. If you click on the hyperlinks below it will take you to that social media outlet or her store.

Glisten & Glow – Experience the Islands Collection

You guys! I am so sorry! I haven’t been able to post in almost two loooong weeks! Life has been a little crazy! I started a new job! Our A/C went out, and so many other things I don’t need to bore you guys with! But what’s important is that I am back and ready to write and post! Now on to what you really want to know about!

Today I am going to share with you 4 glorious cremes from Glisten & Glow. Their Experience the Islands Collection. I also bought the All Dressed Up Duo! I mean Jill has an amazing deal going on right now if you buy both collections! $45 PLUS FREE shipping for 6 amazing cremes! You can find that listing here!

Onto the swatches and review!

Who wouldn’t want to Snorkel in St. Thomas! Haha!! This blue is so beautiful. Darker than a sky blue but not to dark. Its like the perfect in between blue! The formula was great. Very easy application. It took 2 thin coats for opacity BUT I do feel that it could be opaque with one thicker coat. This blue cuts through water like buttah too!! And guess what you guess! It stamps too! I really how Snorkel in St. Thomas looks with a matte top coat! Looks a tad bit darker! This polish also self levels so yea its pretty damn perfect! If for some reason you want this polish and this polish alone you can find it here.

ATV in Aruba would be fun! This magenta/fuscia color is the darkest out of the four cremes. It has the same nice and creamy formula as Snorkle in St. Thomas and is just about a one coater. But if you guys know me by now, I like to do two this coats most of the time! Lmao. The whole collection can watermarble as seen in all the swatches on my ringless ring finer..haha and the also ALL stamp! ATV in Aruba is a unique color for me. I don’t think I have anything like it. I did just go through ALL of my polishes too and didn’t see anything close to it! So I am extremely happy! If you want ATV in Aruba you can find it here.

**Sigh** These polishes really make me think about my life and what I am NOT doing. lmao I have never left the U S of A. I live in FL and have visited some other states but nothing that exciting. So this next nail polish makes me want to jump on the next ferry and go to the Bahamas! And well Bungee Jump. This one is called Bungee Jump in the Bahamas. So sea-foam/teal/turquoise colors are one of my weakness’. This sea-foam minty blue is just amazing. Formula stays pretty consistent with all of the polishes. Pictured below is two coats and top coat. For all of my swatches I used HK Girl Top Coat from Glisten & Glow of course. Jill IS dubbed the shine boss for a reason! You can find the quick dry topcoat here and Bungee Jump in the Bahamas here.

Last up we have Parasail in Puerto Rico. I am half puerto rican soooooo I need to at least go there..lmao I love all four but I think this is my favorite. It’s a coral polish that is just yummy. I love teal/sea-foam colors paired with any type of coral. Thanks Aunt Melody for jacking my wedding colors! xoxo still love you! Any who, two thin coats and top coat. Awesome formula and you can find this bad girl here.

I don’t have official swatches of the All Dressed Up Duo but I thought I would share this mani I did using them! I used Wedding Gown White on my pointer, middle, and pinky and used Little Black dress on my ring and middle. I did put a holo top coat over the black on my middle and did a holo watermarble over my ring finger. Little Black Dress is AHmazing!! It’s a one coater for sure but so is Wedding Gown White. Both of them watermarble and stamp too! You can find the duo here. Little Black Dress can be purchased here and Wedding White Gown here.

So over all I have to say I am very happy with my purchase. I broke a major no buy for this collection but it was a MUST HAVE or die situation. I would break it all over again. Jill hit it out of the park with this collection. I do have to say that I feel there should have been a light lilac type of purple in the collection and possibly named it Skinny Dippin’ in Tahiti lmfao I can see myself using all 6 of these polishes frequently. Cremes are my jam and these are just so on point! Below are all of the links for Glisten & Glow

Jill is ALWAYS having Flash sales and what not so make sure you are following her! Thank you for reading and i hope I have talked you into buying these beauties! <3 They are SO worth every penny!
