June Polish Pickup-Under The Sea Theme-Part 1

Press Sample

Hey loves! I want to warn you ahead of time that this is going to be a really long post! I will keep my blabbing to a minimum, I promise. Haha. Today I am going to be sharing a ton of polishes from the June Polish Pickup. Not everyone knows what that is, so let me elaborate a bit. The Polish Pickup is hosted by the ladies of Fair Maiden Polish. Each month there is a theme that was voted for by everyone in the Polish Pickup group, and then makers sign up to participate for that month. What is different about this than a subscription box? Well YOU get to pick which polishes you want! You can pick 2 or 10, it doesn’t matter. Plus shipping is only $3 for US & Canada! Pretty awesome right. There will be 2 post because well, my host isn’t allowing me to post all the pictures I want to post for each maker and I feel every picture is needed to show off the awesomeness of each maker/polish!  So lets jump right in shall we..

Courtney’s Frogspawn Coral by Alter Ego can be worn as a topper or on its own. It has a clear base with small green glitters and iridescent flakies that shift between purple and blue. I used a black base for my swatch and only needed one coat of the polish. I did do a swatch video for Instagram and for some reason it seemed I had a lot of trouble with the green glitters but I honestly didn’t have THAT much trouble. Haha I mean with any glitter you usually have to do a little placement but not how that video showed. It was a great formula and applied evenly. Cynthia was inspired by Courtney’s (From 6hart Polish) aquarium (which is pictured). This one will retail for $7 .

Snail Shells and Mermaid Tails by BLUSH Lacquers is described as a light blue base with a green-blue-purple shifting shimmer and a linear holo. Victoria’s formula is spot on and this applied so smoothly. I did two coats and it was completely opaque. Victoria mentioned that she was inspired by abalone snail shells. This one will be $12.75 for a full-size.

Deep Rising by Chirality Polish is a gold linear holo. It is absolutely stunning. Amanda’s formula is great and I really thought it might take three coats to get to the opacity I like but nope, the second coat was enough! This one will run you $10.

Lucky Star by Contrary Polish is described as a cobalt blue filled with gold glass fleck shimmer. Carrie got her inspiration from a picture of a Blue Linckia starfish. She did a fantastic job with this polish! I did get the chance to meet Carrie at Polish Con New York and buy a few polishes but this is the first Contrary polish I have been able to actually use and I was blown away with the smooth formula! It applied like buttah! I did 2 coats and it was completely opaque! This one will be $10.50 .

Righteous! by Darling Diva Polish is a topper. It’s a clear base packed with iridescent flakes. I used Lucky Star by Contrary Polish as my base and did one coat of Righteous! it was plenty! I love the coverage and the formula was smooth. Carrie is always a pleasure to work with and this time was no different. Carries suggested I use a blue base and I can see why, I mean just look at this beauty! This retails for $10.

I Shall Call Him Squishy by Ellagee is a pink base with a slight magenta undertone and blue shimmer. It was opaque in two easy coats. I absolutely LOVE Laura’s box that the polish came in! Formula was flawless and it was a smooth application. This will retail for $12.

Rainbow Acans by Envy Lacquer is described as having a purple leaning blurple base with multi chrome flakies and linear holo. This polish is so gorgeous and I feel I couldn’t capture this one (nor most of the others) as well as I would have hoped. In real life they are all so much more gorgeous in my opinion! I did two coats and it was opaque. Formula had a good consistency. This one will be $11 .

Ready For This Jelly by Fair Maiden Polish is described as a bright magenta with blue-violet shimmer, holographic sparkle and color shifting iridescent glitter aqua-sea green. This polish is such a gorgeous color! Great formula and oh man, Sarah and Adrienne are such dolls! I didn’t make it to their table during polish con BUT I did get to meet them once they were packing up and they were just dolls! But that is beside the point. They make some amazing polishes and this is no exception. I did two coats. This one retails for $11.

Euphotic by Jior Couture Polish is described as a sea green/blue with gold shimmer and scattered holo. I am very familiar with Sacha from Jior and her polishes are always great. The formula is nice and smooth. The application is always flawless. Opaque in 2 coats. Because this one leans a little more teal than the rest, it is one of my favorites. But I do love them all! This one will be $8.

Mermazing by Leesha’s Lacquer is described as a light blue base with a strong gold shimmer and iridescent glitters. This is another new to me brand like so many others on this post. But Alicia’s polish had a good consistency and was opaque in 2 regular coats. That gold shimmer really shines through! I did not receive an inspiration picture for this one though. This one retails for $10.

Never in a million years did I think that I would get an opportunity like this! I am so excited to share with you not only this post but part 2 as well!!! I’ve never needed to do two parts haha. Anyways, enough about me. If you need more information on the polish pick up, click here. I hope this long post didn’t bore you to death and that you now know which polishes you want to pick up! These will all be available for pre-order June 2nd until June 5th. Once this window closes they will not be available again. So make sure to snag the ones you want.
