Octopus Party Nail Lacquer – Holo of the Month + Logan

Press Sample

I truly feel like I abandoned you guys. I have been so busy with work, Bella’s softball, and my new little business that I just havent had the time to paint my nails and do reviews. I miss it! But I am happy to say that after next week (Bella is done playing the World Series), I will have a little more free time! I wont babble too much because I know it has been forever since I wrote a post and I am sure you want to know my thought on these babies!

I shit you not that when Dave emailed me, asking if I was available to swatch, I fangirled a bit. My bestie Jenalyn is always going on about Dave and his polishes! So I was over the moon and couldn’t wait to try OPNL out! And let me tell you, Dave did not disappoint. I guess there is reason Jenalyn went on about them so much. Haha

Dave has started doing a Holo of the Month. The polish will be up for pre-order the last weekend of each month. He will be using female musicians as his inspiration. I think this is an amazing series and look forward to see who he chooses each month!

For this month he chose Grimes. She is a Canadian born recording artist. She pretty much does everything for a majority of her songs. From the way Dave describes her music and from hat I have listened to, she seems to be an artist who could fit in several genres. I can see why Dave chose the colors that he did, at least to me but I will share that once I share the swatches!

Grimes is a vampy burgundy with fuchsia, purple and teal flakies. I love this combination. The lighter flakies add more depth to the vampy burgundy base. And we can’t forget about the holo in there. It is truly the finishing touch! Dave’s polish has a very nice formula. I can’t say that I am surprised because again, Jenalyn told me out was good and it exceeded my expectations! I did 2 coats and it was completely opaque. This is available now in Dave’s shop, link will be at the bottom, until July 30th @ 12 PM EDT. So make sure to grab one!

________________________________________________________________________

Next up is Logan. Logan is a custom created for Melissa Lopez. It was made in honor of her first-born, Logan. So the way Dave does customs, is he ask the person if they mind him selling it publicly. To me this sounds more like a collaboration, haha but I think what happened here, is based on what she wanted, he ended up with an amazing polish, so he wanted to share it with us all! I for one am not complaining because its gorgeous! I love the contrast of the Dark grey almost black holo base with bright blue flakies throughout. This one could have easily been a one coater but you guessed it, I did 2. Haha This will also be available this weekend for pre-order only. So I suggest you grab both!

so if you havent gathered these are my very first OPNL’s and I am extremely impressed. I have been slowly pulling away from polish because it’s so saturated and well when you are broke AF it can get depressing. These will not be my last polishes from Dave either. I keep kicking myself that I didn’t stop y his table at NY Polish Con and say hi! I was so busy between working a table and tutorial, I was running around with my head cut off! Next time! So back to the polishes, you need them. Nuff said. All the links are below and make sure to join their FB Group for all the updates! I shall see you all soon <3

Night Owl Lacquer | Dragon Blood | July Polish Pickup

Press Sample

Mondays…..I think most people hate them and I am one of them. But I have to say, today went by fast. So fast that I didn’t have time to make this bog post. So no I sit at home, after a nice hot shower, sprawled out on my bed. Did I mention that my puppy just loves to sit right on my back -_- I can’t move or anything. Yes Bambii owns me and everyone and everything in this house. I was so skeptical about a new doggy, but we needed her just as much if not more than she needed us. Usually on those Mondays that aren’t so good, I come home to her running laps around the house because she is so happy to see me. I love those Mondays too just because of that. Haha How did this post become about my puppy….oh that’s right because she is the boss and wanted to be mentioned! Haha

Life and its new adventures have kept me pretty busy lately so I will jump right on in and tell you why you must buy Lindsay’s contribution to July’s Polish Pick Up. It’s a beauty (like everything Lindsay does, ijs). This months theme was Cocktails & Mocktails, and Lindsay chose a drink called Dragon Blood. You can thank thetipsybartender for this recipe! Haha There is about 5 hours left to go snag one of these and well once the clock strikes midnight tonight, well you wont be able to get it! So make sure to go check out The Polish Pickup Shop now!!! Now on to the swatches:

Here is the inspiration picture:

Dragon Blood is described as a yellowy neon green base with bright green sparks and ultra chrome chameleon flakes that shift red/copper/gold/green. I love everything about this polish. Great formula and a little somethin’ somethin’ in every stroke. Lindsay does flakies well and I love her choice of flakies in this one. Looks great in this base. I did one thin coat and then a thicker one and it was pretty opaque. So I would say 3 think coats or 2 semi thick coats and you should be ready to rock n roll! You can find it here!

Now like I said there is only about 5 hours left so hurry over and pick up this beauty! If you do miss it, don’t worry Lindsay has tons of other great polishes in her shop. And you can use my code kkna10 for 10% off but only in her shop! I love Lindsay to pieces and can;t wait to see what else she comes up with. I know I will lurve it! Starlight Polish l The Aurora Collection & More

Press Release

This past weekend was absolutely crazy. Daniel had a baseball tournament and the heat was insane. I thought I was going to melt. I felt so bad for the boys, they played their heart outs in that heat. In all honesty, I wouldn’t have been able too! I also learned that I’m not as young as I thought I was. After the last tournament game on Sunday, my mom surprised us with a trip to Disney! We ended up at Animal Kingdom and it was so much. But……we stayed until 1am on a Sunday and I had to be at work on Monday at 8am. Mind you..we were 2 hours away. So we slept at the hotel until 5:30am and left at 6am. Happy to report I made it but I was ded all day long. I wont be doing that again, that’s for sure.

But let’s talk about Starlight Polish and her amazing polishes. Issa makes amazing holographic polish but kills it at toppers. Issa has told me that toppers are her favorite to make and i have to agree for this collection. They transform a polish and make it magical! Issa sent me 10 polishes to review, 8 are from her new Aurora Collection (2 sets of 4, one set is The Aurora Top Coats and the other set is the Mythological Aurora Top Coats) and 2 are new additions to her existing Mythological Collection, which is also fantastic! All 10 are toppers and I used them all over the same base, Obsidian, which is another of Issa’s polishes. It’s a really dark gray almost black with subtle shimmer. I love it! I reviewed it in another post, which you can find here. I’ll list the pricing below and then start sharing all of the swatches!

Pricing

Aurora Top Coats: $9.00 full size/$4.00 mini size

Aurora Top Coat set (all four Aurora Top Coats): $32.00 full size/$14.00 mini size

Mythological Aurora Top Coats: $15.50 full size/$6.75 mini size

Mythological Aurora Top Coat set (all four Mythological Aurora Top Coats): $58.00 full size/$25.00 mini size

The Aurora Top Coats (4 Polishes)

Aurora Australis is described to have shifts from orange through green. It is named after the Southern Lights. This top coat was very hard for me to photograph. In my swatch pictures it looks like not very much is on my nail after 2 coats but that is so far from the truth! This had such a beautiful sparkle. I really do like it how it looks matte! Good formula and glitter placement. You can buy it here.

Aurora Borealis is described to have shifts from cool-toned green through blue. It is named after the Northern Lights. I love the shift in this one. I did 2 coats over Obsidian. Good formula like always! You can buy it here.

Venusian Aurora is described to have shifts from light green through gold. It is named after Venus’s diffuse aurora effect. I did 2 coats over Obsidian. All four in the Aurora Collection have the same formula. So that means its great! Each one is unique and has such a cool shift! You can find this one here.

Jovian Aurora is described to have shifts from light blue through violet. It is named after the intense auroras of Jupiter, and the color choice inspired by images of Jupiter’s northern aurora from the Hubble in ultraviolet and the Chandra X-ray Observatory. 2 coats over Obsidian and great formula. You can get it here.

The Mythological Aurora Top Coats

Phoenix Aurora is described as having iridescent glitter that shifts from orange through green and shimmer that shifts from red to gold to green. It’s the counterpart to Aurora Australis and contains the same pigment used in Starlight Polish’s other Phoenix-named polishes. This topper is just gorgeous! I actually used it to make a dragon egg! The shift is amazing and I have to say it is definitely one of my favorites…I would be lying though if I said I didn’t love all four in the Mythological Aurora Collection. I only needed one coat over Obsidian to achieve this look. You can find this one here.

Dragon Aurora is described as having glitter shifts from light green through gold and the shimmer shifts from bronze gold to green. It’s the counterpart to Venusian Aurora and contains the same pigment used in Starlight Polish’s other Dragon-named polishes. Again, I can’t get over the shift. Haha It is just AMAZING. One coat over Obsidian. Perfect smooth formula. You can buy it here.

Unicorn Aurora is described as having glitter shifts from cool-toned green through blue and the shimmer shifts from cool green to deep blue. It’s the counterpart to Aurora Borealis and contains the same pigment used in Starlight Polish’s other Unicorn-named polishes. Okay I lied. This is my favorite. Blue and green tones are just gorgeous AND it matches my hair! Hahaha. Again, this is only one coat over Obsidian. You can buy it here.

Kelpie Aurora is described as having glitter shifts from light blue through violet, and the shimmer shifts from aqua to violet. It’s the counterpart to Jovian Aurora and contains the same pigment used in Starlight Polish’s other Kelpie-named polishes. I feel like a broken record at this point. Issa is consistent so of course this is a great formula and one stroke of polish is jam-packed with glitter and shimmer galore. One coat over Obsidian and top coat. You can find it here.

Mythological Top Coat Additions

Pricing

Kelpie: $12.50 full size/$5.75 mini size

Kelpie Song: $16.50 full size/$7.00 mini size

Kelpie is described as a color shifting shimmer top coat that shifts from aqua to blue to violet. Issa does all things mythical perfectly. Like this looks like magic on my nail beds! The mythological collection is amazing as is but these 2 additions add a little more bang! This is one coat over Obsidian and top coat. You can find it here.

Kelpie Song is described as a holographic version of Kelpie. Kelpie is bluer than Unicorn and its shift goes more into violet than Unicorn’s does. Just look at that holo. I totally didn’t do this polish justice! This is one coat over Obsidian. It can be found here.

Night Owl Lacquer l The Beach Life Collection & Little Owlet Duo l Discount Code

Press Release

Since starting my blog almost a year ago, I realized something. I haven’t sat down and wrote in a long time. I use to love writing! The feel of the paper underneath my hand and the smooth lines of a pen. *sigh* I just loved it and I still do! It feels like it has been a life time. I use to write poems, songs, short stories….but its been years. And I find myself missing it more and more. I guess that’s a part of growing up though, your life gets filled with other responsibilities and obligations.

I have also learned that I have a very very and I mean VERY addictive personality. Once I get into something, I get into it full force. Once upon I use to be addicted to coloring, I got big into. I still love it but I don’t do it as often. Nowadays….its Indie nail polish. I have become quite the Indie snob. I never buy mainstreams anymore. But nail polish has such a whole different meaning. It has been my safe haven. I paint my nails to escape, or at least that was how it all started. But one thing that amazes me over and over, are the friendships I have made throughout this nail community.

Which brings me to Lindsay of Night Owl Lacquer. Lindsay has become such a great friend or at least I like to think..haha I still get excited when she asks me to swatch!! I mean c’mon, everything this woman releases is Fan*effing*tabulous! (That’s definitely a word btw) Shes newer to the Indie making scene but you would think she has been around a lot longer because of her amazing customer service and well nail polishes. I just love love love her polish names and collection themes. Most times they make me giggle! Well folks, she recently released a 4 piece collection AND a duo. The duo is a collaboration NOL & my bestie Jenalyn aka @velashaa (Two Girls, One Blush). But don’t get me started talking about her. I would be here all damn day..Haha I also know I have babbled on for way to long now and you guys are ready to see these polishes I am speaking of! Well I aim to please………

First up is The Beach Life Collection:

Life is Good Today  is described as a neon orange base with gold galaxy holo micro glitter, red/gold micro flakies and different sized lime/gold & orange/green iridescent color shifting glitters. I’m not to into orange but dear lord shut the front door. This orange is fun and bright! The added sparkles make it even more gorgeous! This goes on pretty sheer in the first coat but ugh like with a lot of Lindsay’s polishes, that second coat makes it completely opaque. No need for undies! #Freeballin’ Baby! Great formula and it levels out nicely. You can buy it individually here for $9.

Toes In The Sand is described as a light sandy nude base packed full of gold shift, gold micro flakies and clear galaxy holo micro glitter. This really looks like sand from the beaches by my house! Mind blown! Same great formula and opaque in 2 coats! You can buy this individually here for $9.

Cold Drink In My Hand is described as  a neon green base with bright green sparks & holo flakies. This one gives me life.It is such a bright fun polish. You know what all of these remind me of? It just hit me!! All four of these colors remind me of those buckets and shovels that you buy for the beach and of course the sand!  You guys know what I am talking about right? Theres a blue bucket, usually a green shovel and then these like crab molds for sand that are usually orange and yellow! Geesh, that just brought back some childhood memories! Any who, easy application, opaque in two coats and self leveling. You can buy it individually here for $9.

Where The Ocean Meets The Sky is described as a bright blue base with iridescent sparks, neon blue micro flakies and silver holo shreds. Now I love love love this one. I never really thought blue was my color. But my blue drawer in my helmer tells a different story. Haha and this is no exception. Though I feel it photographed a little darker than what it is in real life, I still think it is just gorgeous. As with the other 3 this one too has a great formula and applies smoothly. Also opaque in 2 coats. You can buy individually here for $9.

So that wraps up this quad! As you see I posted individual links directly to each polish BUT you can buy these as a set as well with a small discount. You can find the set here and it is $33! I will keep this short because we have a duo to get too! Lindsay likes to keep new releases around for a while so don’t you worry about missing these! They will be around for a while! These are totally worth getting! But lets move along to the duo!

Next up The Owlet Duo in Collaboration with Jenalyn (@velashaa)

I am extremely biased when it comes to this duo because well, its between two of my favorite people! Jenalyn is the lovely blogger behind Two Girls, One Blush and known on Instagram as @velashaa. She teamed up with Lindsay to create these two fantastic brown polishes. And these are some of Lindsays first linear holos and though my swatches don’t show them a whole lot….in real life they are even more amazing! You can but the duo together or seperate. The duo is $20.00!

Inspiration Picture

Bubbly Owlet is described as a medium brown linear holo with copper shimmer, taupe & dark brown micro flakies, white flakes and gold flakes. I love this brown. I’m not sure why but its rare that you see a brown holo polish. Well this duo has two! Smooth application, like always, and opaque in 2 coats. This is available individually for $10.50 and you can buy it here.

Gloomy Owlet is described as a dark brown linear holo with gold flakes and white flakes. I love how dark and rich this one is. Jenalyn and Lindsay did so great on this duo! This was pretty opaque for me in one coat but I did two because well, that’s how I roll! I think Gloomy Owlet is my favorite from the duo. It’s just gorgeous! You can find this baby right here.

Phew! A quad and a duo in the same post! I love me some Night Owl Lacquer! These are all available now in Lindsay’s shop. One thing I love is that she sells all of her collections as a set and individually. Lindsay is so consistent. I just can’t say it enough. Constantly releasing amazing polishes! Nailed It Nail Polish l Tropic Like It’s Hot Collection l Discount Code

Press Release

What a beautiful day it is today! I mean if you take away the blazing sun and oh the dark clouds coming in from the north. I can’t lie though, I am hoping that it starts to pour soon. Haha Bella has a 3 hour practice tonight that I for one do not want to got to. I have way to much to do! I mean, if my kids want to survive summer…..I really need to buy groceries. I just haven’t had the time to go. Between work and kids sports, life has been busy! But as much as i have been stressed out lately, there is always one thing that makes me utterly happy and takes away all the stress. Even if only for a brief moment and I am sure you guessed it. Nail Polish!!!! Swatching and doing nail art is seriously a stress reliever for me. I don’t know what I would do without it. I am sure I would be in a crazy house! Yes it is an obsession, but it could be worse right.

Well the lovely Tia of Nailed It Nail Polish is constantly coming out with a collection. And this time she came up with 4 summer polishes! I love them but I know I can be a little biased because I think Tia is the bomb dot-com. She makes a like of soaps, lotions, balms, and how can I forget….my favorite latex, Bye Girl! Barrier. I use it for swatching as a peel off base and it has made my life so much easier. But let us now talk about this quad! It’s called Tropic Like It’s Hot Collection, and that name just makes me giggle! Now let’s talk polish….

———————————————————————————————————————-

Seas The Day is described as a blue/green with a golden shift and blue holographic glitters. This of course is my favorite because well teal is #life. Great smooth formula and it was opaque for my in 2 coats. I never really have formula issues with any polishes that Tia sends me so I knew I wouldn’t with these. I didn’t do thick coats either and they dried super fast for me. Which I like. I like to start at my pointer, so once I get to my pinky I can start at the pointer again. I can’t always do that because of dry time but I was able to with this one.

Resting Beach Face is described as a sparkly pink, with gold glitters, and a sprinkle of holo. This formula was a bit thicker than usual but Tia caught that before i was even able to swatch and fixed it! This pink is so delicate that it would look lovely against a nice tan! I did 2 coats and top coat.

Mermaid Hair, Don’t Care is described as a sheer purple with a soft pink shift. It has purple sparks and a touch of pink flakies. This formula was spot on and this too is one of my faves! Sun’s Out, Buns Out is described as a mango color with a golden shift and gold flakies, pink sparks, and a holo shimmer. Ugh who am I kidding. I love this one two. What an ugly and dreary day. Here in the good ol’ sunshine state….it’s pouring cats and dogs. Man I just want to curl up in my bed and sleep! Better yet, I want to curl up and read a book! I have been neglecting this new series i started and i am dying to read more! I am also on Season 10 (more than half way through it) of Supernatural, so I wouldn’t be mad if I watched Netflix either. Haha but alas, being lazy doesn’t pay the bills. So here I am, at work, yet AGAIN. That 3 day weekend just wasn’t enough! I came back and literally went straight to my office. It wasn’t what I planned but I gotta do what I gotta do! Summer is here and that means so is hurricane season! So I need to work as much as possible! Anyways, lets move on from my misery!

I have worked with Courtney from Posh Paints Nail lacquer several times and it is always a pleasure. Her formula is always consistently good! Though I am not a fan of toppers I could not turn down a chance to work with her again for her new Celestial Wonders Collection! And y’all already know I have been on a flakie kick…these beauties did not disappoint! Each polish was inspired by a nebula! And I think she kicked ass. Funny thing is, she didn’t send me the inspiration pictures, I started googling and went based on what the polish looked like and guess what! I was right every time! So that is saying something!

Let us jump right into the flakie madness!

Side Note: I used Mr. Sandman as a black base, which is also made by Posh Paints Nail Lacquer.

Eskimo Nebula is described as having red-gold-green color shifting flakes in a clear base with color shifting glitters and micro holo glitters. This one has a great formula. i did do 2 coats over a black base but I think if I would have done a thicker first coat, I wouldn’t have needed the second. There were flakies and glitter in every stroke! You can buy this individually here.

Colors by Llarowe – CbL Addicts Blue Me Away

Juggling adult life has never been easy for me. I can multi-task sure but to actually have to be in 2 or 3 places at a time, has been nothing but a struggle. Well today…is that day. I am of course working my ass off when I get a call. Bella has a 6:30 game tonight about a 30 min drive away, okay fine no problem. I will get her there by 5:45 like they want…Ha if only that were all. But no just wait there is more! Daniel has his first 50/70 baseball game tonight. At this point I am side eyeing my phone, and scrambling around trying to figure out how the hell am I going to get him to his game by 5:30…..which is almost an hour away! Yeah at this point I want to cry. Well do not fear because grandma Nana saves the day! Divide and conquer baby. Did I mention I am working late tonight? So Oscar will take Daniel and my mom will take Bella, all while I am sitting at work! But problem solved and I am a happy mama.

Life has obviously been super crazy lately and I havent had the time to use a few polishes that were sent to me as a gift from a dear sweet friend. I have a few CbL’s but not many at all, and this said friend felt the need to fix that. CbL Addicts Blue Me Away were one of the polishes she sent me and just wow. I can’t say it enough! Wowza!

CbL Addicts Blue Me away was originally made back in Feb 2014 as a group custom. At that time, I had no idea what indie polish was. I have since fell down that rabbit hole and am what most would call an Indie Snob. No shame whatsoever either. I knew Leah Ann’s formula was good but wow, for a polish that is 3 years old, it applied like it was made yesterday. I can NOT believe that it was opaque in one coat. Do you guys hear me, ONE COAT. She has her formula down, that’s for sure. I also purposely flooded one of my cuticles, because well blue, it stains. It did no such thing! It came right up. To say I was impressed is an understatement. But here let me show you what I am talking about.

Isn’t this polish just gawgeous! A deep rich blue but it still seems bright to me. Of course I took a macro or two. Haha

And because I am me and can’t leave well enough alone…I stamped over it. *gasp* I know, I know. It is just oh so beautiful on its own! I used a Lina Nail Art Supplies plate : You’re a Damasque! 01, I also used Fancy Gloss: Snow Queen, and my favorite Big Blue Stamper that I got from AliExpress! Ugh I just got 2 new ones yesterday and they pick up the image perfectly straight out the packaging!

And of course a macro so you can see the details better!

I have a confession to make and I am not sure how y’all are going to take it…..I just realized that this is my first ever post that is nOT a press sample!! Well I am hoping to keep post more frequent, i have been working on my time management skills…so far so good.

Anyways, I know this polish is no longer available in Leah Ann’s shop but even though it’s an oldie, it’s a goodie. I am sure you could find one in a destash, even though I have no idea why someone would want to give this yummy rich polish up! One coater you guys, one damn coat. Smh, yes I am still stuck on that! Haha Even if you can’t find this one, I still strongly suggest you check out Leah Ann’s shop, she has plenty of other pretties that I am sure you i will love. Well i think that about does it, i will share all links below:

June Polish Pickup-Under The Sea Theme-Part2

Press Sample

Look at that! I am already back with a ton more polishes to share! It has taken me a little longer than I planned to get this up because I had to feed the monters…I mean children. Hot dogs and mac n cheese had to have been the easiest meal I have made all week! Ha who am I kidding. I rarely cook anymore. I just don’t have the time! But let’s get back down to business. I have already posted the first 10 polishes on my blog yesterday. You can find it here if you didn’t get a chance to read it. Again, I am going to try really hard to keep the random talking to a minimum….really really try! I will share all links on where to purchase and what not at the end, like I did in the last post! Lets get this show on the road! <3

Seaweed is Always Greener by LE Polish is described as a bright green with blue shimmer and micro glitter. I really love how green this one is! So bright and yummy. The blue micro glitters contrast so well with the bright green base. I always love working with Allison, she is such a sweet person and she makes gorgeous polishes! This polish was an easy 2 coats and dried semi matte. Glossy top coat really brought out that sparkle! This one retails for $10.

Sea Secret by Lollipop Posse Lacquer is described as a deep, blue-leaning teal creme with a strong linear holo flame. Karen wanted to keep the musical theme that she has going for her brand and instead of using an inspiration picture for this polish she used a song! Sea Secret was inspired by Tori Amos’ “Liquid Diamonds“. Karen makes some beauties and this has got to be one of my favorites from her! I did 2 coats and it was completely opaque. This one will retail for $12.

Point. Blank. Period. She came on the Indie scene only last year and collection after collection she has slayed! She is a sweet heart with a heart of gold. Holopod by Seventy Seven Lacquer is described as a gray to black base filled with various holographic and iridescent glitters, shimmer and micro-flakies. This is most certain completely filled with tons of glitter! It does dry very textured so I did do 2 coats of glossy top coat but it seemed fine after that!I was pleasantly surprised that it only took 2 coats to be completely opaque for me. Formula was a little on the thicker side but c’mon aren’t most glitter bombs. But after speaking with Connie, she immediately stated she will be tweeking the formula a bit. Which for me is HUGE, I love when a maker corrects a problem immediately. Connie is so easy to work with! This one will retail for $11.99.

I really like the application on  this one. It seriously just glided over my nail. Haha. I love the shimmer in this too, it compliments the base well. I did 2 coats for this one and it dried down pretty matte but the shimmer still showed up! This one retails for $11.

*Along with all these polishes, there will also be 2 nail art/ non-polish items!

Lantern & Wren formerly known as Ellison’s Organics contributed her Liquid Latex Shield. This was my first time using this brand and let me just say, I was very happy with the product. The latex dried fast and when i peeled it off, it came off clean. It didn’t leave any latex residue behind.

Toadarrific Vinyls contributed mermaid scale stencils, under the sea sticker decals and this oh so amazing mermaid sticker for helmers, walls, cars, or wherever you want to put it! Yup it is on my helmer! I have never used this brand before and my first impressions were good. The vinyls peeled from the sheet nicely. I didn’t have to do any weeding, which in my book is a win! They adhered to my nail good and were pretty easy to remove. These are all priced separately so the mermaid decal will be $3, The Under The Sea Decals & Mermaid Scale Stencils retails for $5!

June Polish Pickup-Under The Sea Theme-Part 1

Press Sample

Hey loves! I want to warn you ahead of time that this is going to be a really long post! I will keep my blabbing to a minimum, I promise. Haha. Today I am going to be sharing a ton of polishes from the June Polish Pickup. Not everyone knows what that is, so let me elaborate a bit. The Polish Pickup is hosted by the ladies of Fair Maiden Polish. Each month there is a theme that was voted for by everyone in the Polish Pickup group, and then makers sign up to participate for that month. What is different about this than a subscription box? Well YOU get to pick which polishes you want! You can pick 2 or 10, it doesn’t matter. Plus shipping is only $3 for US & Canada! Pretty awesome right. There will be 2 post because well, my host isn’t allowing me to post all the pictures I want to post for each maker and I feel every picture is needed to show off the awesomeness of each maker/polish!  So lets jump right in shall we..

Courtney’s Frogspawn Coral by Alter Ego can be worn as a topper or on its own. It has a clear base with small green glitters and iridescent flakies that shift between purple and blue. I used a black base for my swatch and only needed one coat of the polish. I did do a swatch video for Instagram and for some reason it seemed I had a lot of trouble with the green glitters but I honestly didn’t have THAT much trouble. Haha I mean with any glitter you usually have to do a little placement but not how that video showed. It was a great formula and applied evenly. Cynthia was inspired by Courtney’s (From 6hart Polish) aquarium (which is pictured). This one will retail for $7 .
